About the Class:
6-Hour Class Looking for a quick and relaxing bead embroidery project? Look no further! In this class, you'll learn -- start to finish -- how to stitch and assemble a bead embroidered brooch, using Czech glass beads on canvas. Students leave with their brooch, extra beading supplies and all the skills needed to make any future bead embroidery project! WHAT TO BRING: A desire to learn and have a fun day with fellow crafters! No worries!...You do not have to finish your entire project at the class. You will learn all the skills you need to take your project home and complete the brooch at your own pace. NOTE: BEAD EMBROIDERY REQUIRES STRONG HAND-EYE COORDINATION. WE WILL BE USING VERY SMALL MICRO-BEADS FOR PART OF THE CLASS. PLEASE BRING READING GLASSES, IF YOU FEEL YOU MIGHT NEED THEM. WHAT'S INCLUDED: Everything you need for your project, including: > Colored Beading Canvas > Glass Beads & Jewels > Bead Organizing Tray > Beading Needles & Thread > Backing Felt & Brooch Pin > Take-With Reference Materials w/ Full Color Photo Tutorials ...and more Any additional tools or supplies you might need, will be provided at the class. Snacks and beverages will be provided at the class. There will be a 30 minute break halfway through the class, for students to leave for lunch, if desired.
Class Policy:
1) Classes take place at the 8 Star Events Center - Classroom #101 (1485 30th Avenue, Fairbanks, AK, USA) 2) Please plan to arrive at 8:45am to ensure you don't miss the beginning of the class. Classes start promptly at 9:00am. Classes end at 3:30pm. There will be a 30 minute break between 12:00-12:30. 3) Classes must have at least 4 students. Should a class not meet the student minimum, you will be contacted no less than 48 hours in advance of the class to reschedule <or> receive a full refund. 4) Classes are non-refundable after booking. Should you need to reschedule, your class payments may be transferred to a different date. However, this change must be submitted and approved no less than 7 days in advance of the class date. Should you need to make a last minute change, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Late attendance or failure to attend the class altogether, forfeits the class payment. 5) Minimum age for students is 10 years old. Students 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult guardian who is also registered for the class. Only paying students may attend the class. Friends, family and children are not permitted. Students under 18 years of age may only participate with the written consent of a parent/legal guardian. A consent form will be electronically provided to any students under 18 after sign up.
