About the Class:
3-Hour Class Looking for a quick and relaxing bead embroidery project? Look no further! In this class, you'll learn -- start to finish -- how to stitch and assemble a bead embroidered brooch, using Czech glass beads on canvas. Students leave with their brooch, extra beading supplies and all the skills needed to make any future bead embroidery project! WHAT TO BRING: A desire to learn and have a fun evening with fellow crafters! No worries!...You do not have to finish your entire project at the class. You will learn all the skills you need to take your project home and complete the brooch at your own pace. NOTE: BEAD EMBROIDERY REQUIRES STRONG HAND-EYE COORDINATION. PLEASE BRING READING GLASSES, IF YOU FEEL YOU MIGHT NEED THEM. WHAT'S INCLUDED: Everything you need for your project, including: > Colored Beading Canvas > Glass Beads & Jewels > Bead Organizing Tray > Beading Needles & Thread > Backing Felt & Brooch Pin > Take-With Reference Materials w/ Full Color Photo Tutorials ...and more Any additional tools or supplies you might need, will be provided at the class. Fresh baked cookies and beverages (coffee, iced tea, lemonade or soda) will be provided at the class.
Class Policy:
1) All classes take place at the Cookie Jar Restaurant (1006 Cadillac Court, Fairbanks, AK 99701). 2) Please plan to arrive at 3:45pm to ensure you don't miss the beginning of the class. Classes start promptly at 4:00pm. Classes end at 7:00pm. 3) Classes must have at least 4 students. Should a class not meet the student minimum, you will be contacted no less than 48 hours in advance of the class to reschedule <or> receive a full refund. 4) Classes are non-refundable after booking. Should you need to reschedule, your class payments may be transferred to a different date. However, this change must be submitted and approved no less than 7 days in advance of the class date. Should you need to make a last minute change, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Late attendance or failure to attend the class altogether, forfeits the class payment. 5) Minimum age for students is 10 years old. Students 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult guardian who is also registered for the class. Only paying students may attend the class. Friends, family and children are not permitted. 6) Drinks and snacks will be provided at the class. Per the restaurant's policy, please do not bring your own food or drinks to the class. Should you desire any additional food/beverages, they can be purchased at the restaurant.
