Bead Embroidery: Ornaments

About the Class:
6-Hour Class Never held a needle before? Life-long beader? Both will enjoy the magical world of glass bead embroidery! Explore how to stitch a double-sided ornament using Czech glass beads stitched onto canvas. A great project to make as a gift or keep for yourself, these ornaments are sure to be treasured heirlooms for years to come! WHAT TO BRING: Excitement and desire to spend a fun evening stitching with fellow crafters! Students might not finish their entire ornament at the class. No worries...you'll leave with all the skills needed to complete the ornament at home at your own pace! NOTE: BEAD EMBROIDERY REQUIRES STRONG HAND-EYE COORDINATION. WE RECOMMEND YOU BRING READING GLASSES, IF YOU FEEL THEY WOULD BE HELPFUL. WHAT'S INCLUDED: Everything you need for your project, including: > Glass beads > Colored Beading Canvas > Bead Organizer Tray > Needles & Beading Thread > Embellishment & Finishing Supplies > Take-With Reference Materials w/ Full Color Photo Tutorials ...and more Any additional tools or supplies you might need will be provided at the class. Light snacks and beverages will be provided at the class.
Class Policy:
1) Classes take place at the 8 Star Events Center - Classroom #101 (1485 30th Avenue, Fairbanks, AK, USA) 2) Please plan to arrive at 8:45am to ensure you don't miss the beginning of the class. Classes start promptly at 9:00am. Classes end at 3:30pm. There will be a 30 minute break between 12:00-12:30. 3) Classes must have at least 4 students. Should a class not meet the student minimum, you will be contacted no less than 48 hours in advance of the class to reschedule <or> receive a full refund. 4) Classes are non-refundable after booking. Should you need to reschedule, your class payments may be transferred to a different date. However, this change must be submitted and approved no less than 7 days in advance of the class date. Should you need to make a last minute change, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Late attendance or failure to attend the class altogether, forfeits the class payment. 5) Minimum age for students is 10 years old. Students 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult guardian who is also registered for the class. Only paying students may attend the class. Friends, family and children are not permitted. Students under 18 years of age may only participate with the written consent of a parent/legal guardian. A consent form will be electronically provided to any students under 18 after sign up. 6) Due to the unexpected nature of winter weather in Alaska, Emmy Arts reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather conditions, for the safety of our students and instructors. We do our best to plan ahead and provide as much advanced notice as possible, but unexpected storms may result in cancellations as late as the day of the class. In the event a class is canceled due to weather, students will be compensated with their choice of full refund, or priority seating in the next available same class of their choice.
