Knitting 101: Mastering the Basics
This intro-level class (ages 10+) is the perfect way to get started with knitting!
About the Class:
4-Hour Class Join the captivating world of knitting with this introductory class that guides you through the basics. In KNITTING 101, you will learn to knit, purl and assemble your own cute snowman ornament. You will walk away with all the basic skills you need to get started on your knitting journey, as well as helpful tips and reference materials for further learning. WHAT TO BRING: A desire to learn and have an evening of crafting fun! All students will leave with their fully completed snowman ornaments. NOTE: KNITTING REQUIRES FAIRLY STRONG HAND-EYE COORDINATION. PLEASE BRING READING GLASSES, IF YOU FEEL THEY WOULD BE HELPFUL. WHAT'S INCLUDED: Everything you need for your project, including: > Yarns > Knitting Needles > Tapestry Needle > Finishing Embellishments > Project Pattern > Take-With Reference Materials ...and more! Any additional tools or supplies you might need, will be provided at the class.
Class Policy:
1) Classes take place at the 8 Star Events Center - Classroom #101 (1485 30th Avenue, Fairbanks, AK, USA) 2) Please plan to arrive at 9:45am to ensure you don't miss the beginning of the class. Classes start promptly at 10:00am. Classes end at 2:00pm. 3) Classes must have at least 4 students. Should a class not meet the student minimum, you will be contacted no less than 48 hours in advance of the class to reschedule <or> receive a full refund. 4) Classes are non-refundable after booking. Should you need to reschedule, your class payments may be transferred to a different date. However, this change must be submitted and approved no less than 7 days in advance of the class date. Should you need to make a last minute change, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Late attendance or failure to attend the class altogether, forfeits the class payment. 5) Minimum age for students is 10 years old. Students 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult guardian who is also registered for the class. 6) Only paying students may attend the class. Friends, family and children are not permitted. Students under 18 years of age may only participate with the written consent of a parent/legal guardian. A consent form will be electronically provided to any students under 18, after sign up.
